Adam teaches 9th grade English at Da Vinci Design, coordinates the drama program, and has helped with the atlas program and improv, spoken word, and meditation seminars. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from Chapman University in 2007 and worked professionally on stage, film, & TV in Orange County and Los Angeles. He also tiptoed in the wonderful world of education and proudly became a Trojan in 2012, as he completed a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Southern California. He has taught performing arts and English classes in South Korea, Washington state, and throughout Southern California. He enjoys being at Da Vinci because of the supportive staff, eager students, and innovative learning environment. He aims to develop his students' communication skills, self-awareness, empathy, and commitment to lifelong learning. Additionally, Kalma runs a non-profit organization called Give Global, which raises support for a children's shelter in Thailand and hopes to give more kids educational opportunities worldwide. Lastly, he loves traveling, drinking coffee, reading books, bumming at the beach, and watching football. Fight on!
